Now pray through the fifth commandment: "Oh Lord may I honor my father and mother. Have I respected them as I should this week? Bring conviction upon me when I fail to honor them or when I take them for granted. Forgive me of this sin. I desire to have respect for all those you have put in authority over me. Help me to do that today."
