Scripture Memory

We often miss the deeper meanings of Scripture because we read over it but fail to comprehend it. Like second graders learning to read, we say the words but fail to grasp the true meaning of what we read. That’s why meditation and memorization are so important if we really want to get God’s word inside of us. Commit 1 Corinthians 2:9 to memory. Reread each phrase in this verse out loud several times. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you memorize and understand the verse.

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'
